Croque Normande

  Croque Normande

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices bread (baguette or crusty bread about ½ inch thick)
  • 4 ozs. ham, thinly sliced
  • 4-6 ozs. Camembert, rind removed, sliced (you can also use Brie or Pont l'Evêque)
  • Butter
Preparation:
Preheat broiler.

Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Place the ham, then half of the cheese on the unbuttered side of two of the bread slices. Top with the remaining bread, buttered sides up.

Cook the sandwiches in your Lagostina 8 inch (20 cm) ProCAST™ non-stick skillet until lightly browned on both sides. Remove from heat.

Arrange the remaining cheese slices on the tops of the sandwiches. Place under the broiler and grill until the cheese melts.

Serve immediately.
