Orange, Ginger and Lemon Jam Recipe in Pressure Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 kg oranges (organic)
- 1 piece of ginger
- 600 Grams sugar
- 1 lemon (organic)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Method
- We take the strictly organic oranges and wash them well. Cut them into small pieces or slices with all the peel.
- Place the oranges in a large pressure bowl, adding a piece of grated ginger and the lemon zest and juice.
- Add the sugar and mix everything together.
- We cover everything with cling film and leave it to macerate overnight, in this way the oranges will be very well flavoured.
- The next day, pour everything into the pressure cooker and close it tightly with the lid. Let it cook on high heat until the red release valve on top of the pot rises and then the valve starts to whistle. Then lower the heat to minimum and cook for 7 minutes.
- Once ready, vent the valve and open the lid. When the jam is still hot, put it in sterilized jars, close with the lids and let them cool upside down in the dark, covered with a cloth.
- Once ready, consume the Jam starting from 15 days, 1 month from preparation.
